For sale are some collectible vintage magazines, two National Geographic and two The Illustrated London News.

The two vintage National Geographic magazines are Volume CIX Number One and Volume 118 no.6 December 1969, both in a worn and used condition but readable.

The two London News magazines date are The Illustrated London News Volume 218 No.5849 May 26th 1951 and  Volume 265 No.6948 July 1977, both in a worn and used condition but readable.

All old magazines have some interesting articles in them from around the world, some great photographs and illustrations plus some old magazine advertisements. The one has an old Coca Cola Christmas advert on the reverse, in colour, many more colour and black and white magazine advertisements inside the magazines.

Great just to read old news to see what was going on during these times or for someone who collects ephemera either to cut up and re-use for collage work or simply enjoy old bits of paper.

Please note, the old magazines are "old magazines", unlike new magazines they will not be in perfect condition. In fact, these do have some issues, some pages a little torn, some missing or have been cut with scissors plus marks, the usual wear & signs of age hence the low starting price.

The Oak beams were originally from a local Convent which was being converted into apartments. They are very old, not sure of age, ideal for building restoration or could be used for fireplace mantles.

The old oak beams are solid, heavy in good condition for age, they measure 259 cm long by just over 31 cm wide and 14.5 cm deep. The decorative edge is a separate piece of wood added to the oak beams.

Although no obvious signs of wood worm, I would recommend treating them with a wood worm solution. If you require them treated for woodworm then happy to do this before delivery or pickup for the cost of the woodworm treatment solution.

There are two oak beams, if you only want one then happy to separately.

Whilst having a clear out I came across this old cup and saucer, its very "old" looking and have spent a while trying to identify the maker and pattern. Sadly, its a little damaged and has a fine hairline crack in the cup.
